Bringing in the New Year

Another year has passed and it was a good one. it was easily the best year of my life. After Melissa "retired" in February, our options opened dramatically thanks to the flexibility my job allows. The year was highlighted by a great deal of travel. I stepped foot in 9 countries in 2006 and enjoyed not 1 or 2, but 3 vacations of a lifetime. Four weeks in Brasil, followed by five in Asia followed by another five driving across the US and Canada left little time for much else. However, we still managed to move to our new home in the mountains of south western Alberta and have begun enjoying our much simpler lifestyle. Throw in building a garage and doing some touring around western Canada and it's been a full year. The only downfall has been that I have spent very little time at home. I would guess that I didn't spend more than 40 nights in my own bed. Small price to pay for some of the adventures I've had. Please enjoy the slideshow I've created to mark my year.
